Week 490 to 498 - Perth to Green Head

From Margaret River we scooted up to the outskirts of Perth to stay with Steve and Louise at Wandi for a few days.

Steve is a grease monkey from way back and helped me do a couple of jobs on the motorhome including replacing a $700 hand brake valve and a $300 fuel pump (ouch).  I am semi confident when working on the engine and appreciated Steve's experience and knowledge.

Our next worldly experience was a stint working at a caravan park at Green Head, just 250 km north of Perth.  However, due to some lack of communication, I was not able to work because of insurance issues, so Jo did a voluntary 2 hours a day to pay for our site, power and water.

A drone shot of Green Head -
Dynamite Bay in the foreground, CP can
be seen just off to the left
I spent a long 7 weeks basically twindling my thumbs and pottering around the bus.  Although Green Head is only 250 km north of Perth, it is very isolated, no shops,  no hardware, no spare parts locally, so always difficult to source spares in this part of the world.
Fishing spot - When the tide goes out,
there is a great fishing spot at the end of the point.

Blue Tongue Lizard - These lizards are
in abundance at Green Head.

Rugged coast line at Dynamite Bay
Stairway to heaven - The council has
introduced an environmentally friendly
walking track around the dunes at Green Head.
This is a plastic hill over the dunes
Dynamite Bay - Dynamite Bay is supposed to
be in the top 15 beaches of  Australia,
however, as you can see the seaweed has
washed up onto the beach in abundance.

I can see it is isolated by your brilliant photos. What a magnificent place and perfect for photo
opportunities.
