Week 486 to 489 - Margaret River, WA

In these weeks of our journey, we had decided to do some house sits/dog sits but ended up with a job looking after a winery in the Margaret River area.

Our mission was to look after the winery, two dogs, a dozen chooks and the cellar door.

Our stay in the Margaret River area was wet, wet, wet and cold.  Not the best time to be in this area.  However, a beautiful spot.

The duration of our stay was just over 3 weeks.  A very pleasant and very memorable experience.
Island Brook Estate winery - This iconic old red truck
has graced the entrance of Island Brook Estate
for at least 15 years. A 1943 International KB5
Vinyard in the mist - The weather has been our
entertainment. Rains and flooding and we often
wake up to a morning mist.

Cellar Door
Island Brook - Island Brook is certainly on an island
surrounded by water. We have had heavy rain showers
and the brook is beginning to flood
The sun shines on the red truck.

A winery! Horror, you would have felt that you had died and gone to heaven.

Yes, the photos do show how wet and cold it was but what a great job to land! How was the wine?
